Jesus said, “I am the Resurrection and the Life: he who believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. Whosoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26).
Do we believe? Do we believe this: “I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who lives and believes in Me shall never die?”
Eternal Life. That is what Resurrection is. Jesus said that is what He is: Eternal Life. Life everlasting. The Apostle John wrote: I have written these things “that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have Life through His Name” (John 20:31).
Today we celebrate Resurrection, we celebrate Eternal Life, we celebrate Jesus, Who is the Resurrection and the Life. It is such a wonder, such a blessed thing, such a magnificent marvel to know the Reality of the True and Living LORD of all. No wonder He sent us to tell everyone the Good News. How can I hold it in? The effervescence, the bubbling up of this glorious Gospel is beyond containment; it explodes like fireworks in splendor.
“I am He that lives, and was dead; and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen” (Revelation 1:18a). He lives! He is risen! As the angel asked the women at the tomb, “Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen” (Luke 24:5b-6a). Yes, He is risen, indeed.
“That which was from the beginning which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of Life: (for the Life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that Eternal Life which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us). That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that you also may have fellowship with us, and truly, our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son, Jesus Christ. These things write we unto you that your joy may be full” (I John 1:1-4).
Be filled with joy in your heart today in believing. Happy Easter.
