“For He shall give His Angels charge over Thee, to keep Thee in all Thy ways” (Psalms 91:11).

There is a divine order in the Kingdom of God with Angels serving to fulfill the will and purpose of God in the earth and in the lives of all His people. This was also true during Christ’s time on earth as the Immanuel. It was the Angels who ministered to Him and continually watched over Him in fulfillment of their charge (cf. Matthew 4:11).

The Angelic charge is an assignment from our Heavenly Father to watch over, protect, minister to and strengthen the saints in our mission and calling during our time here on earth. We must know we walk in the company of Angels as they are faithful to their charge to us from the Master.

Pertaining to these heavenly hosts, it is as the writer to the Hebrews testifies, “are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14). Indeed, we are the heirs of God in Christ and God has sent forth His servants, His Angels, as His divine messengers to “keep us in all our ways.”

Do you know that God has enjoined, commanded and appointed Angels to keep you in all your ways? Do you know that you walk in their company continually? This is not new. It has been the way with God and man from the beginning. Search the Scriptures and you will find the interactions of God and man, through the mediation of Angels, whether Patriarch, Judge, Prophet, Priest or King. Whether Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor or Teacher, the New Testament is replete with story after story of these encounters with the “ministering spirits and flames of fire” sent to us from our Sovereign God, on assignment with their Angelic charge.

When the Apostle Paul was in the midst of the storm in the Roman ship headed to Rome, it was God who sent His Angel to rescue him from the sea and to speak to the people “there stood by me this night the Angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, saying ‘Fear not, Paul, you must be brought before Caesar, and lo, God has given you all them that sail with you'” (Acts 27:23-24). With whom are you sailing? They are yours and you are God’s. The Angelic charge is over you and yours.

Do you doubt the intervention of God in your life? The just shall live by faith and part of that faith is the reality of the Angelic charge. God really does care for you. He really does love you and has given you all you need for this life and the life to come. Part of that provision is the sending of His divine messengers whom He sends directly to you for your aid and comfort. He gives His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. They shall bear you up lest you dash your foot against a stone. That is not just nice poetry. That is the reality of His Angelic charge, and that reality is yours.
